![]() ![]() On a tablet or a computer with a touch-panel display, you can also access the Action Center settings by performing a quick swipe from the right edge of the screen.įor more information using Tablet mode with your personal computer, see the following Microsoft article: Get Started with Windows 10 - Use your PC like a tablet. Then tap or click the Tablet mode setting to switch between tablet and desktop mode. To switch from tablet mode back to desktop mode, tap or click the Action Center icon in the taskbar to bring up a list of quick settings for your computer ( Figure 1). I know Microsoft can do better because they've showed us this in previous builds in pc and mobe software.Note: When your Windows 11 or Windows 10 computer is using tablet mode, there will be no tile available on the screen to quickly switch back to desktop mode. To date, even for business I think it's too basic. ![]() A lot of "personalization" now involves coarse changes a basic groupings, but more granular accessible granular design changes I think, would truly engage the individual customer to express a more personal computing experience that also better fits their workflow and productivity. However more built in granular control of the OS layout I think would represent as a function of a personal pc. I don't think that defined personalization. Many daily apps will generally not change much in terms of real world use. There's liitle built in personalization that eventually asks for a third party option for more granular actual personalization control. MyPeople was locked down as a function of the task bar (weird!) not as part of a people hub app concept. Other gripes is that we can't hide the start side bar, Windows search can't be moved/integrated with action center pane for a more personal quick action layout a la windows 8. We can increase live sizes and shapes beyond large live tiles. Office files can be pinned as live tiles, yet other filetypes beyond pdf edge file tes is non existent. Microsoft enthusiasts shied promising interactive tiles that never came to fruition. Icons offer less degrees of personalization and dynamic glanceability widget type functionalization as live tiles do. More control of live tile icons is being increasingly pushed to the developer side instead of design creative personal freedom to the end user. Increasingly granular control has been reduced to themes. On 10 mobile we could do much more to personalise live tiles. Many of these are basic changes that have been here for decades. I don't think there are enough settings to qualify the term per onalization. ![]()
